SWEN ERIK SCHEUERLING

Works:

Axel-Obiger

"Swen Erik Scheuerlings installations are based on an interaction between room specific elements and live-video-constructions.

They remind of 'reversible figures', revealing space, movement and perception as an unstable moment. Scheuerling is dealing with formations, that become visible, when something is falling or got out of the joints. With his works he oscillates between instability and easiness; challenging playfully for states of suspense. Instead of freezing moving images, he develops images that arise from movement and action itself. Often they cause effects of a rotation losing its center and topple the relationship of its surroundings."
